Linda graduated in 2005 from Queen Margaret University College in Edinburgh. She initially worked within NHS Highland at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness for 4 years before moving home to Shetland in 2009. Linda is now a senior physio in NHS Shetland in musculoskeletal outpatients.
Linda has extensive post graduate training in musculoskeletal physiotherapy which includes a diploma in musculoskeletal medicine. Linda also has certificates in spinal manual therapy and paediatric musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
Outside the NHS Linda provides physiotherapy services to the sportscotland regional support network.
Linda is interested in keeping healthy and enjoys walking and swimming. Her favourite part of the job is when patients surpass their own expectations and make a small lifestyle change which has a big effect on their health and wellbeing.
Anne graduated in 2012 from Glasgow Caledonian University with a first class (hons) degree in Physiotherapy. She has extensive NHS experience previously working at NHS Borders and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. She moved back home to Shetland in 2015 and now works at NHS Shetland as a senior physio in musculoskeletal outpatients.
Anne is highly trained and has completed a variety of post graduate training. This includes diplomas in both musculoskeletal medicine and sports massage. She recently completed a certificate in spinal manual therapy.
Anne also has a variety of experience in sports physiotherapy where she was a physio for team Shetland at the natwest island games 2015 and 2017 in Jersey and Gotland.
She is a keen runner and has completed races up to marathon distance. She understands how frustrating an injury can be where she completed berlin marathon in 2016 after self treating an ITB injury. She enjoys treating people of all ages who have a desire to get back to full fitness whatever the level.
